Gray, with a post office operating there since 1856; the Georgia General Assembly incorporated it as a town in 1872, but its charter was dissolved in 1995 as part of a statewide repeal of inactive charters, returning it to unincorporated status.
Graysville sits along South Chickamauga Creek, a quiet, predominantly residential area anchored by Graysville Elementary School and the historic Blackford-Gray House.
